Hi! I am Callie Johnson! A Documentary, Candid Style Wedding Photographer based in Raleigh, NC 

 I photograph weddings the way they truly unfold — raw, emotional, and honest. My goal is to capture your memories as they unfold, without forced poses or interruptions. 

Your wedding day isn’t a production — it’s a story unfolding in real time.

The laughter, the nerves, the quiet glances, and the wild dance floor chaos; every bit of it matters. My approach is rooted in documentary photography: honest, emotional, and unposed. I want your photos to feel exactly like the day did, the warmth, the movement, the small moments that might’ve gone unnoticed but mean everything later.

I shoot on both film and digital, giving you a wedding gallery that feels timeless yet alive! Film brings nostalgia and softness, those imperfect, human textures that make every image feel tangible. Digital allows me to capture every fleeting second as it unfolds. Together, they tell the full story, artful, emotional, and true to you.

Most of the day, I’m a quiet observer, a fly on the wall, documenting what’s real without interference. But when the music starts, you’ll find me on the dance floor right alongside you, camera in hand, laughing and catching the kind of energy you can feel.

Being trusted to document a wedding, to freeze the emotions and energy of such an intimate, once-in-a-lifetime day, is something I’ll never take lightly. These aren’t just photographs. They’re heirlooms. Proof of how it all felt. That is what drew me to this career in the first place.

When I asked for an impossible favor, she made the impossible, possible. She worked so well with us and our vision was captured perfectly. We had never been so happy with a set of photographs, that was until she captured our wedding day!!! We were lucky enough to have Callie as our photographer/videographer. It felt like having a familiar friend there to be apart of the day. She was so patient and kind with our family and guests and absolutely captured our memories so beautifully.
